Sometimes, life hands you exactly what you need when you need it. Like an e-mail from my old teacher that ends like this:

"I bet your in serious stress mode from this story. My advice is to relax and trust yourself. No matter what happens your paper is going to be great because it's coming from your heart."

My parents sent me a care package today. It's filled with candy and other junk food, a copy of People magazine, a bottle of my dad's homemade blueberry plum wine and a note that says "Kristy Jo: Keep the faith." Sometime between my last post and this afternoon, I went from frustrated and hopeless toward my capstone to feeling absolutely determined to own it. I am going to frigging churn out a capstone by November 12th if it kills me. My goal is 20 pages. Turned in a five-page intro to my main capstone piece. Tiny step, but it feels good to have something down in writing.

Now: settling in for a few hours of relaxation after a shitty night at Timmy's, then catch up work all day tomorrow. Ahhhh weekend <3

I'm getting really nervous about my capstone. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to coax out enough pages, I don't know if this is going to work at all. I just spent an hour recording every due date, exam time, obligation and meeting I know of for the next three months. The results were intimidating, especially when you consider that I want to work 20 hours a week at Timmy's, in addition to the rest of my nonsensical life.
