Pippi sauntered down to where she had her boat, dubbed The Bag of Gold, moored.
With her she had a spyglass, sextant, battery powered floodlight, and her picnic rig. ((Including a nifty old statue she'd found that would make a nice centerpiece!))
She loaded it all up onto the boat and waited for Walter and any other sacraficial victems friends

The force of the blast slammed Nadia off her feet even as she was diving to the ground. She covered her head as . . . something, probably a mix of fish monster guts and water, splashed down over her.

And saw it was Walter and relaxed. She sat up and looked out over the fish gutted water.
"That was so cool!"

"Very cool. Good thinking, now let's get away from the water, there are still more of them out there!"

"Up the rocks." She shouted over the gurgling cries of the remaining creatures.

Pip glanced back behind him briefly and started to walk backwards, emptying his clips into the monsters before ejecting them, turning around, reloading, and running up behind to the rocks.

A particularly large one let out a great howling noise and held something up.
The statue.
All of the creatures stopped and all but the ones nearest the kids turned back and kneeled.

"Why didn't he tell me the story was true."

"What story?" he asked as he made it into the shelter of the rocks after the rest. He didn't have to worry about running out of ammunition, after all.

"Get up here now and let's get behind these boulders and I'll tell you all about it."
A good chunk of the remaining creatures start to leave with the large one and the statue, who seems to be barking orders to the ones farthest from the water before he turns to go.
