uh... Hi!

Mar 10, 2010 20:12

So... things have been their usual boring work/sleep/work since the last time I posted. About the most exciting thing since the last time I posted was snagging a Joe/David photo op for the convention in April. Well that and I managed to get two horribly rough draft pieces of art done for the Trek reverse big bang challenge. Hopefully they're not so bad that I'll be the choice of last resort for the authors when the claiming opens up tonight.

Still need to get back on the ball with the AU Big Bang. Got over 2K words! Which is not nearly enough for this point! Will be looking over what I have so far tonight and sketch out where to go from there. Or might just open the file and start typing... it worked for NaNo.

Anyway... they updated the nerd test:

History was never my strong suit. And it has been pointed out that I'm not apparently as dorky/socially awkward as I feel most days.

Continuing the consumerist theme of wanting bigger/better/more from my last post.. I think I found the camera of my dreams. It's a dSLR that looks like it was built for a Star Wars Stormtrooper: http://www.pentaximaging.com/slr/K-x_White/ It's supposedly excellent for low light photography so I think it would be ideal for convention photos, especially when David starts talking with his hands. And with the ability to put different lenses on it, I could get some pretty good close ups with the a good zoom lens.

Still haven't got my taxes done. Was going to go get them done for free, but they require seeing your social security card. Found mine finally and it still had my married name on it. Oops. As of 00:01 this morning I am now officially back to my maiden name in the eyes of the gub'ment... despite my passport being in my maiden name. Now all I have to do is find last years taxes... they are, of course, not in the box with the rest of my taxes and other important docs. That would be too easy. Guess I'll swing by H&R block and get another copy tomorrow. Gotta get it done soon because any refund I get will fund my plane ticket to Seattle and pocket money for Vancouver.

.... mmmmmMmmmmmm Vancouver....

..... and Stargate.. and David and Joe and Michael and... and....

*happy sigh*
