And then I went to see Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 1.
- OH, RON WEASLEY. AND HEARTS TIMES ONE BILLION.
- I felt like this movie was really true to the book in a way that many of the previous ones have not been. And so, yay! There were things missing, for sure (I'm sad for no Luna's room of creepy/awesome friendship), and little things changed here and there, but I didn't ever feel like things had been changed around for no reason.
- OH, GEORGE WEASLEY. AND HEARTS TIMES ONE BILLION. His little FACE in the part with interrupting Harry and Ginny kissing with his TOOTHBRUSH in his (missing) EAR. I'm glad they took the time to have the Weasleys (especially Fred) react to George's injury. I hope there is at least that much time spared for the thing that happens in the next movie. Mmmm, Weasley twins.
- SO MANY TRIO HUGS. And they were all so desperate, too, with Harry flinging himself at Ron and Hermione. The movies always make me want Trio!fic in the way the books never did.
- RON AND HERMIONE!!!! All Ron's adoring looks at Hermione, and Hermione when Ron got splinched (EVERYTHING ABOUT WHEN RON GOT SPLINCHED), and his hilarious attempts to curry favour when she was mad at him. YAY.
- ALSO, Harry and Hermione dancing in the tent. CUTEST EVER. Really, really cute. I NEED TRIO FIC, PLEASE.
- What else? Um, I found Dobby and Kreacher really amusing in the scene where they dragged Mundungus back to Grimmauld Place. Also, all the Harrys were really funny. I expect masses of icons of Harry clinging to Bill Weasley on the thestral (was that a thestral?).
- Speaking of Bill Weasley - he was supercute, but not how I expected him to be. He was very... pretty, and youngish, and not as badass as I pictured him being. BUT STILL GOOD. Will we ever get a Charlie Weasley?
- In conclusion, ME + RON WEASLEY = 4EVA!!!!
