allecto wanted my unpopular opinions about popslash! Which, are there even unpopular opinions in popslash anymore? I don't know. I'm going to start with an opinion that would have been unpopular with myself, two or three or four years ago, yeah?
- First, and most shocking to me, I think I have reached the point where Joey is my favourite. WHAT?!! I know. For a long time, he was fourth, and at one point he was probably even fifth. But now he's the only one who doesn't make me automatically cringe/roll my eyes/throw things at the television whenever I see him. Now I'm just all, "awww, Joey!". I mean, don't get me wrong. JC could take it back in a heartbeat, if he'd just do something adorable or awesome. He did briefly win out with the ridiculous bowtie, the picture of which I can't find right now. But yeah. Joey. Who knew?
- What else? Oh, the Justin song, the one with the Scarlett Johannsen video? Yeah, that song sounds like 'Cry Me A River' to me. I don't know why, but the music sounds very similar. The first time I heard it, I was in the car and when the song started, before Justin was singing, I was like, "What is this? This must be Justin, it sounds like CMAR." And it WAS. But CMAR is a zillion times better.
- AJ will never be my favourite Backstreet Boy. In fact, he will never get any higher than third, and will usually fluctuate between third and fifth. There's just something that bugs me about that kid. And also, I've never been that fond of his voice.
- I still think Lance's new nose looks weird and pig-nose-y.
And then cranberryink wanted my unpopular opinions about bandom! Which, hmm. Most of my opinions, many of which are unpopular are in this post. But to sum up, I think Pete Wentz and Ryan Ross are funny-looking in a bad way. People should write Jon Walker bottoming more often. I don't get the fuss about My Chemical Romance. All-American Rejects, forevah!
- Also, every time someone references The Cab, I think they're talking about Death Cab For Cutie, and I get a little excited, but then they're talking about some other band, and I don't care anymore.
- I still haven't listened to Pretty Odd, but while everyone keeps saying that Panic sounds like The Beatles now, everything about 'Nine In the Afternoon' reminds me of Oasis when they were in their Beatles period. It's very 'All Around the World'.
And then offonmars wanted my unpopular opinions about Supernatural, and also Sam Winchester.
- First, the classic: I do not like John Winchester. I just don't, and you can't make me. I also do not like JDM, and I don't know if I don't like JDM because JW bugs me so much, or if it's the other way around, but I just feel very UGH about them both. But maybe more about JDM, because JW is fictional. And has been dead for two seasons, and JDM keeps popping up in ads for movies on my television.
- However, I love John Winchester about a thousand times more than Ellen Harvelle, who I HATE. I will be so happy if she just never comes back, I HATE HER.
- But I like Jo, and I wish she would come back. I would trade Bella and Ruby for Jo in a second.
- I don't think Sam does threatening very convincingly. Which I guess is more of a comment on Jared Padalecki, but still. Pleading, funny, sad, bitchface - all good. But as soon as he starts shouting (in anger, not panic), he loses me. Oh, also that weird face and like, swaying thing he does when he shoots something/someone and Dean has to wonder if he's turned evil? Yeah, that's not good.
- ETA: Dear ficwriters - please explain to me, WITH SCREENCAPS, how you came to the conclusion en masse that Sam has curly hair. Because, what? I don't see it.
