Dilemma

I've reached the fun (FSVO fun) part of the jumper I'm making for tigerfort: the neck shaping[1]. And "all things done well for the grace of God" is conflicting with "all things done simply for the sanity of Me". I've never actually designed a jumper before, and while I think I've got my pattern worked out OK and the shape sit properly on his shoulders, I'm dithering about the rate of decreases to get a smooth curve. I've drawn a sketch to scale, measured it off in sections, and short of trying to remember how calculus is supposed to work I think it's as good as it'll get. I know I should just try it, with the awareness that if it's wrong I can always rip it out and start over, but I'm strongly tempted to wuss out and go looking for a pattern that has the right sort of neck.

[1] it has dropped sleeves, so I don't need to draft a sleevehead or curved armscye.
