What is your favorite book?

I am currently reading "The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry" by Gabrielle Zevin in which all of the characters come with a reading list. Also, the title character believes you learn all you need to know about a person by the books they read

I would be hard-pressed to pick a *favorite* book. That exercise will have me thinking for a while.

I am starting to think that I should go back and re-read A Wrinkle in Time. I read it in 6th grade as an assignment for my reading class, and really didn't like it. However, my reading teacher had a knack for sucking the joy out of reading, so maybe that was the problem. (Seriously--this was a reading teacher who could turn an avid reader into an anti-reader.)

I have A Wrinkle in Time queued up next on my night stand for when I finish Inkdeath. I haven't read it since it was read to me in grade school.
