Everybody's Off Doing Stuff
Where is everybody? My friends page is curiously uncluttered with new posts. Everybody out doing President's Day stuff?
I'm sitting around, playing with wire, and keeping Mom company for a bit before we go shopping for groceries. I believe I've dropped $300 in the past two days on yarn, stuff from Home Depot, Walmart, and the bad place, Border's. I still have to send in money for Gulf Wars, if I can still pay in advance online. I've got some gear to pick up for the war, and I have to make up student packets for the kumihimo and wire weaving classes I'll be teaching.
So what am I doing? Trying to figure out the wire twisting on the Birka beads. I can haz procrastination.
It snowed here and the chihuahua wouldn't even go out the door. I got a picture of Simon walking his tour, sniffing and marking things and generally doing dog stuff, checking off blocks on his job requirements. Keeping those squirrels in line is a hard life for a dog, and making sure all the fence posts are marked, especially the post on the side of the yard where the neighbor's dogs mark the fence as their property is tough. He has to make sure he tanks up before he goes out.
The snow's about two inches deep on the grass. I believe I'll go back early today.
