I've never started off summer this cold before. It's supposed to be warm this weekend though, which I'm pumped about.
I literally spent three days looking for a job...no dice. I picked up a few shifts at good ole' K and M, but I'm still hoping something better will come along. I'll shovel poo if someone pays me enough. To add to the monthly bill, looks like I'm going to gain possesion of Bud, which is slightly awesome. Yes, Bud is old, and the left passenger door is a different color than the rest of the car, and he drives like a boat, and rattles, and sometimes the floor gets wet for no reason, but dammit, I love that car! As my mother puts it, "you can fit like, three bodies in the trunk!" Besides, all the speakers work, which is more than I can say for the '95 Grand Am my brother is probably going to buy. He likes that one better, though, so BUD IS MINE!
...which means I have to put him in my name.
...which means my insurance is gonna go up like William Shatner's cholesterol.
I changed my major. Again- I'm a nursing major. I figure I can help more if I go abroad as a nurse than I can as a teacher. Not that teachers can't do anything. I don't really know what's going on.
I was reading some articles from old Rolling Stones from the 70s, and the next album on my to-buy list is "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars." I downloaded a few songs from there, and they're pretty sweet, but apparently it's a concept album, and I feel like it will be way better if I just buy the album and listen to it all the way through. I haven't done a top 5 in awhile, so here's one...except I had to make it a top 10 because there are too many:
Top 10 Albums I Don't Yet Own But Definitely Should:
1. "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars" - David Bowie
2. "Court and Spark" - Joni Mitchell
3. "Tommy" - The Who
4. "Blood on the Tracks" - Bob Dylan
5. "Houses of the Holy" - Led Zeppelin
6. "Rancid" - Rancid (the skull cover one)
7. "Hail to the Theif" - Radiohead
8. "Led Zeppelin I" - Led Zeppelin ; I have all the songs from this one, I just haven't actually bought it, which I feel kinda bad about.
9. Any of the Ekoostik Hookah live albums..they're so hard to find!
10. "Red, White and Crue" - Motley Crue
Shut up. Motley Crue is awesome. Your mom likes Motley Crue.
I can't wait till everyone comes home.
