Well, THAT will never happen again.

Sunburn, that is.  Mom got me 85 SPF sun lotion for my birthday.  :-)  She also got me a pressure cooker, which (unfortunately or not so unfortunately depending on your perspective) calls for a trip to Barnes & Noble for a pressure cooker cookbook.

I recently realized that I have entered a very exciting phase of my life.  For the first time EVER, I am actually able to afford my book habit.  This is something of a delightful shock.

This morning, there are little tweeting birds in the canal.  How wonderful!

Also, I had a very good birthday with Mom and David Mom-Spouse.  I won't go out of my way to do a Boston Duck Tour again, but it was nice to have the experience at least once.  And I did get to drive the duck in the water, which was fun.  Mom took pictures and has threatened to put them up on Facebook.  Fortunately, I'll probably be saved this indignity by the fact that she's unlikely to divine how to upload them without help from me.  :-)

This upcoming weekend will be activity-free with the exception of quality visitation time with coldnight  & Mo.  I'm not sure yet when that will happen.

Dori has become very snuggly in the past week.  I'm not sure what's up, but she's actually laid down on my lap several times and has taken to sleeping on the top of my chair when I'm in it.  Cute is still her stock in trade.  :-)

literacy, celebrations, activity-free weekend!, cats
