All My Lists
So, it should be clear to anyone familiar with this journal that list50 is both my love and my bane. Nearly three years in, I've got 77 lists under my belt (of the comm's 81 total) and hopefully, I can up it to 96 before March 14. That's only, um, 19 to go. Yeah, I don't think I'll manage either. But any way you slice it, 2008 has been my most productive year yet and I can at least be proud of that.
Anyway. 75+ seems like it deserves a masterlist. It's chronological, most recent at the bottom, and special projects are noted.

I'm pretty sure this is the best single-character list I'll ever do. Plenty of pairings, lots of different Xanders. If I had to pick, I'd most recommend There's Girls..., Facing the Heart in Darkness, Zeppo in Mind, Trick or Treat, and Wait for the Beep. Except for Zeppo, they're fairly grounded in canon and even Zeppo has an authentic feel, just with extra accidental sex magic.

I figured this would be the easiest of the original tables so I started with it. Honestly, I didn't plan on doing all four at once, but I'm terrible with limits. Anyway, the "story" of this table was definitely a love story, but they were both pretty fucked-up, so it took a lot of time and a lot of work before their happy ending.

My favorite of ALL the tables! There are a couple of prompts I'd cut now if I could, but as a whole, I love it. The prompts are long, but they give you a lot of room to work in. Kissed My Ghosts, Our Hatred and Affection, You Who Have Suffered, Make Use of the Suffering, Girl from a Dangerous Town... I do more fists of victory working with these guys than any other.

I was kind of amazed at how much gen dominated here. I honestly wanted more het on here, but I very much wanted the story to be about the girl and too often in het it's about the boy. Another thing I was very emphatic about was that there actually be no damsels here. I actually thought about dropping Philosopher's Stone for that reason; it's very much about what is done to Elle. But it's also about who she is and who she might/could be. There's a - well, I called it "possibility of victory", but I'm not sure that's the best description - that persuaded me to keep it.
If I had to pick just five? They'd be Lateral Entry Program, joyful girl, It's All So Clear to Me Now, Five Women Who Hate Fleur Delacour, annnnnd. After Ragnarok.

I'm pretty sure this is the best single-character list I'll ever do. Plenty of pairings, lots of different Xanders. If I had to pick, I'd most recommend There's Girls..., Facing the Heart in Darkness, Zeppo in Mind, Trick or Treat, and Wait for the Beep. Except for Zeppo, they're fairly grounded in canon and even Zeppo has an authentic feel, just with extra accidental sex magic.

I was kind of amazed at how much gen dominated here. I honestly wanted more het on here, but I very much wanted the story to be about the girl and too often in het it's about the boy. Another thing I was very emphatic about was that there actually be no damsels here. I actually thought about dropping Philosopher's Stone for that reason; it's very much about what is done to Elle. But it's also about who she is and who she might/could be. There's a - well, I called it "possibility of victory", but I'm not sure that's the best description - that persuaded me to keep it.
If I had to pick just five? They'd be Lateral Entry Program, joyful girl, It's All So Clear to Me Now, Five Women Who Hate Fleur Delacour, annnnnd. After Ragnarok.
