Poetry! Mostly here for Alyssa.
These are some kinda-finished poems I've had lying around for forever:
untitled experiment:
(and i implore my god to witness
i have made no crime)
(and if given my choice
i would not change)
(though the world shun it
i would not unlove you
for anything)
(love is love
and the only sacred thing)
(and if i died tomorrow
i would go to judgement with no regrets
no shame)
(i was made
to love like this
and i am no mistake)
untitled (09/06/05):
"you can't believe you undo me"
you look at me
as if you can't believe you undo me
as if you can't understand
why i shiver at your touch
as if all of this
youmeusthisfire
can all be attributed
to some as yet unknown variable
that you'll find if only you keep looking
listen, my leary one,
love is no equation
x is not always equal to y
nor is it always only x
there is no formula,
no universal constant
there is only this:
i shiver at your touch
because i love you
because
you undo me
untitled (09/06/05) 2:
"after loving you so much, can i forget/you for eternity, and have no other choice?"
they tell me to move on
that i owe it to you
as much as i do myself
that you wouldn't want this
but i want this
want to remain
static
because
moving
is the beginning of forgetting
and i want to remember always
the scent of your skin
the sound of your step
i want to say always
i love you
not
i loved you
because
after loving you so much
can i forget you for eternity,
and have no other choice?
