it is still a bit chill indoors in the morning, though the temperature is said to return to the 70s after a few weeks of coldness. I stepped outside unto the backyard. the sun was warm and welcoming. it's nice just standing and soaking up the sun.
my co-worker gave me a japanese drama "交响情人梦" to watch. some of the scenes are quite exaggerated and dramatic, because the story is based on a comic strip. what i like about the show is the classical music being played, sort of revived my long lost fondness for classical music.
the other day i heard on the radio that Lang lang is coming to LA philharmonic to play. I think i might just go listen if someone else is going with me. the ticket is not cheap though, especially the good seats. I am determined to go to the hollywood ball at least once this summer, enjoying music under the moonlight.
I went to the huntington library this past thursday, because free admission on the first thursday of each month. the last time time I was there must have been over 7 years ago. they are building a chinese garden right now. there is already a pond and some granite bridges, however small the pond is with a few koi swimming languorously. the japanese garden looked the same, except they are not allowing ppl to cross the wooden bridge anymore, plus it looked quite weathered. the camellias were blooming at this time. i picked up a few fallen ones from the ground, the flower petals fell apart helplessly while been held like a fragile creature in the palm of my hand. we saw about a quarter of the park, and we are going there again next month.
