I'm not quite dead yet, sir... actually I think I might pull through!

Just letting the world know I'm still here, even though my lack of postings since some time February might suggest otherwise.

I know it seems weird, for someone who is online as much as I am (part of my job is making sure shit STAYS online, actually...) to stay 'off the grid' as much as I do, but I guess in some ways I'm a bit old fashioned.

I'm still one of the small handful of people who doesn't have a myspace page yet... ...and I'm still OK with that. There is a chance that could change at some point, and the only reason would be to search for new music gigs, since that community almost exclusively communicates through myspace.

Facebook? I'm not in college anymore, so facebook seems to be of little use to me. To me it seems like being in your early to mid 30s and trying to go to college bars to pick up chicks (something that came up in conversation recently). Do you really want to be that guy? Probably not.

IM? YM? I'm there, but the only people in my buddy lists are current or former work contacts for the most part and I don't accept chats from people who aren't in my buddy list.

Text messaging? It's handy for locating people in crowded/noisy places where you wouldn't be able to hear your phone and the occasional quick-hit message, i.e. "Going out tonight?". I've watched people sit at bars and spend the entire night texting other people. You can do that at home and not smell like smoke at the end of the night! If you want I'll even come over, play some loud techno or hip hop and charge you $8 for a Jack and Coke, just to complete the experience :)

It's late. I'm going to go pass out now.

Peace.
