Day 13 → A fictional book
It was between this, and Catcher in the Rye... But I've read the Outsiders a million times more.
If you haven't read it (icu o_o [♥],) it's about a group of teenagers/young men in Oklahoma in the sixties, and the problems the rivalry between their group and the group of preppy kids cause. I love the characters SO MUCH, and one of my favorite parts is the one where S.E. Hinton is just describing all of them (I also have a serious fictional-character crush on Dallas, even though he only has love for Johnny.) But what's more, I love the relationships between them. The main boys in the book are so rough around the edges, but they love each other so fiercely, and all of said relationships are so different.
I can't tell you the first time I read it, and like Blood and Chocolate I don't how many times I have read it since. It just never gets old for me. Except... A few years ago, I had gone a while without reading it and picked it up again after I bought the movie on DVD only to find
THAT I HAD FORGOTTEN DALLAS DIES AT THE END. lmaoooo And I was all sad on the subway haaaaa.
P.S. Lol, good job at my not posting any adult books.
And uuugh, after Thanksgiving dinner, Eric was talking to my mom about books they had read recently, and I haven't read any books for pleasure since the summer. Jealousssss.
Anyway, I'm back in Canada. My trip back up was easy, but I got like no sleep last night, so I just passed out when I got back to my dorm. I'm kinda bummed to be back (at school, not in Canada) because I basically came back to crunch time and I feel like soon I'm going to wish I was back home playing Scattergories with Corey instead of cramming. But I'll be back in less than a month. Which means I hope to see my Toronto friends a bunch before Winter Break =)!
... Also... The fucking Rangers. They gave up thirteen goals in their last two games. It was nauseating. And they have to play Pittsburgh again tomorrow. They seriosly need to wake up.
