how i made my millions part 372: the perfect man?
lots of ladies have a list of things they look for in potential mates. i have never compiled such a list before (i mean, i know what i like for the most part... and i really know what i don't like. just never put it in writing before). so i think it might be fun to compile such a list. i am going to be as friviolous and picky and detailed as possible. and for once i'm going to really consider the physical aspects. here goes (in no particular order, of course... and keep in mind i'm doing this for my own entertainment).
things i look for (note that this is subject to editing over the next few days since i am falling asleep at the moment.):
1. ability to carry on a conversation. must be well spoken.
2. ambition, goals. be able to plan ahead. must be responsible for one's self and accountable for one's actions.
3. common interests, which is often reflected by musical taste (i don't expect people to have the same musical choices as i do, but having a sense of what you like and what you don't is important. and none of these "i listen to anything" types. listening to a wide range of music is great, but be decisive. what people listen to often speaks volumes about them).
4. a nice pompadour. this is my favourite male hairstyle (if done correctly... for a good example, google "lord carrett"). however it does not work for everyone. i like other hairstyles as well, long hair works for some men but not all. scruffy (but clean) hair looks good on some as well, but not universally so. always avoid the mullet. avoid bleaching portions of the hair (like when guys do the tips and then put a gallon of gel in there... yuck) ... i hate that. (i tend to like dark hair).
5. height is an issue for me. i am 5'11" and i prefer males to be at least almost as tall as i am (really prefer guys to be over 6'). i know that is picky and i try not to rule people out on that factor alone.
6. i don't like guys being too skinny. prefer a little bit of meat on those bones (to be specific, i want the guy to at least weigh more than i do, i want to feel like the girl and it helps if i am not the bigger person!)
7. eyes. partial to certain types of blue eyes, but any colour so long as they are expressive. ability to make eye contact with me is always nice (has been an issue in the past with one person... this guy wouldn't look me in the eye, and that really got on my nerves).
8. good basic hygiene. wash those hands and brush those teeth. smell good but don't go too overboard with that cologne shit. get rid of that unibrow.
9. decent taste in clothing as according to me. ability to clean up on occasion.
10. must be a free spirit, ready to have an adventure, do spontaneous things. laugh. dress up in costumes with me for events and halloween and such. ready to jump in and do things.
11. keep promises.
12. treat me like a lady!
13. i want some attention. i want to hear from a guy, get to spend time with him and all of that. but i also want my space. don't smother me, don't completely fill my voice mail box with usless crap every day, don't be an ass and try to drive my friends and family away from me so you can have me all to yourself 24/7 (this was an issue once with someone).
14. do not go too overboard with the pda (slight pda such as handholding or a short kiss or something minor like that is okay, but "making out" in public is just not neccesary). and don't make up shitty pet names for me.
