The girls have been loaded off on their parents and Sokka is walking around without babies attached to his torso.
You can all be shocked now.
Okay, not really. But since he's been unloaded and all, Sokka's doing some more specific poking around. He went over everything in the hotel, found all the exits, fire extinguishers (whether or not they work is another matter), which buildings had fire escapes and which would be physically impossible to scale without some kind of equipment. He found blankets tossed around here and there, noted which ones were clean, dirty, and oh-god-no-get-that-away-from-me. He even looked around for toys for Loo and Hana - mostly failing, but there was a small ball that bounced pretty high. That gets put into a pocket.
And now that the responsible stuff is over with? Sokka is doing further exploration.
In the bar.
It's not so much that Sokka was too desperate for drink to go around the bar, as it was that sliding down the bar on his stomach was really, really fun and getting off the counter to go around the bar was no fun at all. That's why there's a Water Tribesman's butt in the air and the clink of bottles as he tries to read their labels upside down.
