What the hell? Everything in my house seems to be on self destruct phase. The sink has stopped leaking. I think that a hose merely needed to be tightened, but we have the part to replace it anyways. But I still have the fear that it will leak. So while the leak has stopped the contents of the cupboard are still spread throughout the kitchen.

We have almost finished the deck. It is fully functional, we have patio furniture and an operating barbecue. We just have a few side pieces to repaint blue to hide the shame of the stain. As soon as it cools down we have plans on finishing it. But it looks fabulous. Woo hoo.

The technology in the house is breaking. Last night I left the phone out in the giant thunderstorm. Let's just say that it didn't survive. At least we still have 3 more to rely on. Then we went to go charge the camera and it decided that it didn't want to turn on anymore. Sweet. We fought with it and it finally came back. And then the computer went down. It refuses to turn on or do anything. It just taunts us from the desk. Great. So we get to go give Best Buy an assload of money to fix it tomorrow. Thank god Tracy has the laptop for us to use.

The wasp removal is past stage 1. I bought the spray today and waited until dusk like it said. I put on my red velour sweater, with elastic bands on the wrist to keep the wasps out, just in case. I also had my plaid pj pants, that shimmer with sparkle, tucked into my striped spongebob socks, with a pair of mitts on. I was attractive. I sprayed the nest good. So hopefully when I go poke at it tomorrow there will be no signs of wasps, and I can bury the hole and plant some grass over top it.

This heat is insane. The list of places in the world that we were warmer than was a little depressing. Barbados and Hawaii are cooler than us. And we are almost as warm as Kandahar. I think that I might melt. My only saving grace was that I got to suffer at home, rather than at work. The ovens and constant opening doors make it really warm.

I have achieved the holy grail of safeway. I am now officially full time. My manager even called me at home on my day off to tell me about it. I wasn't home so he left a message and Tracy accidentally deleted it. I just hope that this doesn't screw up my plans of my 5 day weekend at the end of the month. I cannot wait another year for 2 weeks of vacation. If I am even there this time next year. We'll see.

I started shopping for my halloween costume supplies. I did find the necessary supplies to make a hula skirt. It will include quite a bit of my time and I need to find green paint that will color raffia. It could be interesting. But it will be the best homemade raffia skirt ever!!!

But I am going to go melt a little bit. And continue watching 3rd Rock from the sun. Very entertaining.

bakery fun, halloween goodness, house insanity
