So Simple, or so I thought
Instructions for visiting people at their homes.
1. Get the address
2. Go to the address
3. Knock on door or ring doorbell
4. Wait for someone to answer
5. Call them when there is no answer to figure out what went wrong
Things to NOT do:
-Try to turn the doorknob very slowly, maybe a stranger has left their door unlocked so you can just come in and get attacked by a hammer
-Walk up and down the sidewalk multiple times in the snow that someone will now have to scrape off because you can't just stand in one spot
-Keep ringing the doorbell/knocking until someone finally gives up and tells you to go away
I can tell this girl appreciated my surliness on the fancy doorbell, I don't think she expected to have a disembodied voice tell her she was in the wrong place. But I was happy to not have to actually open the door, and was far nicer than I should have been. But I had been hanging pictures earlier and I really did have an attack hammer in arms reach of my couch. That would have been an interesting video.
