It's all really moist now

Attention mother nature, can you please stop with the rain. now that we got another 4 inches of rain things are soggy. The backyard is entirely wet no matter where you go. And my poor plants are getting drowned. Right now my weeping tile and sump pump are my favorite things. although that was why I moved out of the basement, I couldn't take the water noises anymore. The sun and water have helped my garden perk back up. Some things are a loss but my plants are perking back up. Apparently nothing will kill the beans! It's a good thing my parents are still in Saskatchewan right now as the highway is having some issues. They didn't believe us until we sent them links from the Internet.

The Internet is proving to make things interesting at work lately. Since the main decorator is on holidays I've actually been doing some decorating. My skills are a little rusty and I'm a little bitter that I didn't get to go to the reunion so I haven't been giving it my all. But we had an incident of losing an order. So the customers wife sent him a picture of the order on his phone. Totally our fault, but he was nice so I gave him a discount. And it gave me a good laugh. But honestly, what did we ever do without the Internet?

Still a little sad we missed the reunion. I think it all worked for the best as Tracy wasn't too keen with all the road trips as she has two out of town weddings this year along with all her school stuff. It sounds like the reunion was mostly uneventful. I'm sad I missed all the stuff that the families put together. Someone even found my great grandmothers head piece from her wedding and framed it with some pictures. But I've been promised pictures and a look at the harbor family book. The reunion was for all the relatives from my grandma and her three sisters so I guess one of the relates put together as history book on behalf of my grandma with all the history and such. People is Saskatchewan are awesomely generous like that. But they only made one copy so it appears my mom has offered to copy it for people. Good project for her. And I'm glad that we had plans to be rebels and stay in a hotel. One of my aunts sister in law who also lives there offered up her house again. She has two spare bedrooms but the beds are terrible, we stayed there once and Tracy thought I was pacing all night long but it was just the bed. And I guess while my cousin Amanda and her little boy were there by themselves somebody broke in! And she's only related by marriage and barely knows anyone. Not sure if she'll want to join us all again!

I've made it out and about a bit so far. Street performers festival was very entertaining. I made it to a few of the shows, I always appreciate the America's got talent style shows. I did get a sad burn that is fading into a terrible tan line. The street food was also really good. I'm hoping to try taste of Edmonton again this year. The first and last time I went it was really underwhelming. But the menu looks like it has changed a lot. And Tracy pointed out that if it was bad we could just go for tacos. So true. The only issue now is finding time for Shakespeare in the park . It's almost done already but the days I'm free just haven't been working...
