So working that day wasn't the great tip day I'd imagined. Unfortunately it rained all day, so all I did was set-up.
Then my shift rolled around and I was sent to the dining room. I hate the dining room. I never thought I'd make any money. But I had a great table at first... a decent one second... and then an 11-top. Of course I also brought out only 10 meals for this table... so I was confused... and the person had to wait an additional 15 minutes after everyone else's meal came out before his did... and I had rung everything in correctly. So I had been thinking it was all my fault when in reality it wasn't mine at all. I just had to figure everything out because I seriously spent the better part of an hour frustrated with myself and especially because it made me look stupid... but I figured it out- blame to the kitchen- but I kept my mouth shut anyway and took it. Whatever. I still got a pretty good tip. =)
The next day I didn't have to be in until 4 and then it was the Ryder Cup buffet. Don't know what I did afterwards though.
And Sunday was another long day. 11-8 and more Ryder Cup fun. Rourke found the man for me that together we will produce beautiful-eyed children. I guess that counts as an accomplishment. Unfortunately I think he noticed my lack of interest and transferred my status to Sarah... who was wearing her "make blue eyes beautiful" eye shadow from target, which made her blue eyes much prettier than mine anyway.
But after work Sarah and I met up with Jason, Brandon, Patrick, and LAUREN WAYMOUTH! I haven't seen her in forever, so it was really nice. We went to see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Not impressed. Maybe I should give it another go?
Ended up going back to Jason's and partying. I spent the night there. In the morning I relocated to Brandon's house and slept some more until my eye appointment.
Fun days at the eye doctor. Got my eyes dilated... and my prescription was reduced meaning my eyesight, instead of jumping an entire level like last year, actually got better. I also got new glasses.
Then went back to Jason's and "watched" 'Snatch.' Unfortunately I couldn't tough it out through the whole movie and I went to bed fairly early.
In the morning we drove Jason to drop his car off then to the post office then to his work... then I played tennis with Sarah and dad. I suck. Plain and simple. And I'm a wimp. I wouldn't climb the tennis court fences to play. Lucky for me there was an area where you could pull up the fence... so I "commando-rolled" into the court... and out... and in... and out... and in... and out... because I was the only one who kept on hitting the balls out of the court.
Babysitting in the morning. I don't even remember how to prepare his food. =(
