So while reading through the most recent Politico Media newsletter, there's one part in particular that caught my eye. A part dealing with what Conde Nast, publisher of some of United States' best-known magazines, got its employees for Christmas.

Back in February 18, I got an e-mail from the last place I expected.

Earlier today, Chicago Reader's Michael Miner gave his own take on Michael Ferro's decision to put former Splash Publisher/EIC Susanna Homan in charge of Chicago magazine.

Miner shares a lot of my concerns about Homan being put in charge of the magazine - he is just a bit harsher. And his article gave a few interesting tidbits about the process.

Back in July, I wrote about FW:Chicago - a new Chicago area magazine that would fill similar niche as Today's Chicago Woman magazine, which shut down late last year. At the time, they were online only, but they planned to launch a print version of the magazine in September.
