Earlier this week, I was going through Chicago and observed something really interesting - the changes in price of
Nissin cup noodles.
In downtown Chicago, a cup cost $1.50. Further north, in Lakeview neighborhood, it costs $1.19. Even further north, at Jefferson Park Transit Station, it costs $1.15. And, in a small corner store in North Park neighborhood, it only costs $0.60.
The cups are the same. Like, exactly the same.
I couldn't help but wonder - what determines those price fluctuations? And is there a place in Chicago where I can get them for less than $0.60?
