Look at Illinois government folks (and lobbyists) taking public transit
While reading this morning's Politico Illinois newsletter... There were a lot of interesting parts in there, but I wanted to focus on this one.
Riding Amtrak to Springfield last night: Anne Caprara, chief of staff to J.B. Pritzker; Joe Duffy, president of JMD Public Strategies; Jasmine Hooks, who’s directing operations for the governor; Democratic state Sen. Pat McGuire; David Ramirez of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP; Colleen Smith, legislative director of the Illinois Environmental Council.
Given that Illinois Department of Transportation funds a decent portion of the costs of the route in question (the Lincoln Service train), this is, in a way, pretty civic-minded of them.
