Comment with “SHOWTIME!” and I will give you five actors and five actresses. Then post in your journal-of-choice what your favorite film of theirs is and why.

I got this list from donna_c_punk:

Actors
Robert Redford - The Sting vs. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. It's a toss up because Redford is just better when he's playing against Newman. But if I had to pick then cowboys trump con men.

George Clooney - Oceans 11 - I love this movie. The banter between him and Brad Pitt is pitch perfect. The rest of the cast is great, but Clooney is at his charming and charismatic best as Danny Ocean

Ben Affleck - Dogma. I am a huge Kevin Smith fan and love all his movies. Ben has been in most of them, but my favorite is Dogma. He and Matt Damon look like they are just having a blast in this movie.

Alan Cumming - I have to go with X2. I am a huge X-men fan and always loved Nightcrawler.

Sean Astin - Fellowship of the Rings. This is one of my favorite movies of all time (top five) so I automatically picked it. His performance in Return of the King was probably better, but Fellowship is a better movie overall

Actresses
Alicia Silverstone - Clueless. This is such a clever update of Emma. Alicia is so charming and fun in this movie. This is also the movie where I first notice Paul Rudd which was a bonus.

Jodie Foster - The Silence of the Lambs. Just an excellent movie and an excellent performance.

Helen Mirren - Gosford Park. It was a huge ensemble cast and I thought everyone was just terrific in it. But I am very excited about her upcoming movie: "RED". Helen Mirren as a gun toting former special agent - need I say more.

Kate Hudson - Almost Famous. Her first big break through role remains her best.

Maggie Gyllenhaal - Secretary. I think she gives an amazing performance in this movie. I hate that the poster tries to emphasize the salacious nature of the subject matter because it really is simply about a suicidal girl who finds love and a reason to live
