The very first episode of SG1 had female full-frontal.

Showtime but you're right - they encouraged nudity on Showtime and that scene was cut when the show moved to SYFY

Well that's because Stargate started on Showtime (pay cable) and if there wasn't nudity, it wasn't allowed on Showtime. That scene was cut once the show was sold to SYFY.

Too bad SGU didn't start out on Showtime. It might actually have been good. Maybe. If they cut the majority of the writing, directing and producing staff.

Every time a hit show tries for a 'wider audience', it always turns to crap. (Like the majority of SyFy programming that I've seen.)

I agree. All they do is mess it up for everyone - it never works

The whole show is a silly attempt to entice a different type of fan to the show. The thing they forget is that people who don't like Scifi aren't going to watch no matter how much the producers try to turn it into Grey's Anatomy in space. And by doing that - they just alienate the regular dedicated Scifi fans

{g} thanks - I laugh at all the stuff Syfy is trying to do. Yes they did change their name to reduce the "stigma" associated with Science fiction. All they are doing is alienating their core audience.
