Star Trek - I saw it and....

IT WAS BRILLIANT!!!!!

I am a serious Star trek fangirl from way back. I've seen every episode of TOS and TNG. I can name any TOS episode in less than 10 seconds (It was a drinking game in college - I kid you not)

So when I tell you that this movie was awesome and everything a true fan could hope for, you know where I'm coming from.

Cut for anything that might be considered spoilers )

*hugs you* I knew it would be great when Wil Wheaton came back from seeing it squeeing like a fanboy! I hope to see it soon!

Here's his post (if you're interested):

And here's a pic of him after seeing it, that's enthusiastic, yet terrifying: http://twitpic.com/4n9rn

Yep it was everything I wanted in the reboot. I want to see it again as soon as possible i heard there's supposed to be a tribble in one of Scotty's scene but I missed it the first time.

And your icon - FTW. I may have to snag that from you!!

I haven't felt this happy about ST in a long time. I disliked Voyager and don't get me started on Enterprise - I love Scott Backula but even he couldn't save it. After this movie, it felt good to be a fan again. It's been so long I don't even have any references to it on my LJ.

Yes! We must talk ST.

So worth it - just explain to your parents that the needs of the fangirl outweigh the needs of the... well you get the idea

I will be making every effort this weekend to go and see it (when it opens tomorrow). I've been waiting forever and a weekend and now... YAY! New Trek movie!

I'll be sure to be all fangirlish as soon as I can.

I'm going to have to work in some ST conversations into my Fic From Hell (aka the one you're reading for me) between Rodney and Megan :)

I hope to go see it again to catch all those little in-jokes that flew by me the first time out. I heard there's a tribble in the back ground in one of the scenes and theres a throwaway bit about Archer from the last Enterprise TV show that hubby pointed out and I had missed the connection completely.

I look forward to being able to talk details!
