Great mix <3 It took me about two hours to get it down with my slower than ever internet but definitely worth it :) nice to have some rock in my ipod now when fall comes around..
And, I've been meaning to get into the DC/Batman universe for some time (started sort of with Marvel (Mostly Young Avengers) a year ago) but it's kinda hard since there's not really a clear spot where you could start..I don't really wanna read the stuff from the 40's cuz I don't find the art that good >_> Do you have some tip of where I could start?
uhm, they just restarted the DC universe-- there's only 12 issues to all the new stuff. In terms of the old, pre-reboot issues... I just researched, instead of reading them, because finding them available to DL isnt the easiest thing in the world. :X
Hi! My advice would be to decide on a character/concept you like, DL the series, and read from -- let's say the late 90s in general. But I think it really depends on which character you like best. Two good ways to know that are to read the No Man's Land crossover - it features most of the Batfamily, and it's a good post-apocalyptic story anyhow (you can continue with the Bruce Wayne: Murderer/Fugitive crossover if you want more of the Batfamily interacting), or to read the Batman: Gotham Knights series up to #49. The latter isn't collected in TPB, and I think it's easier to just DL them. Another character appeared later, but these two are probably the most complete and diverse as far as characters are concerned for a starting point.
There's also the rebooted universe, like airwaveeight mentioned, but I can't recommend it.
Thanks, both of you! I'm currently DLing the Gotham Knight series, figure I'll start there and see where I'll go later. I really don't know anything about the characters, feel like the biggest noob tbh. The reason for why I want to start is cause of the Robin's, I'm a sucker for angst and even tho I don't know the story I've kinda, IDK, gotten a drift of there being a lot of it around the Robin's/Nightwing/Red Hood...
