2pm today my dad and I sat in the vet's office with Herbie in her favorite box. All three of us knowing what was going to happen when I vet called us back there.

I know exactly how you feel, Casey's one year is the 28th, and I'm here for you.

Just think of all the good times you had, not of the ones that'll no longer come. You gave her 17 amazing years and did the right thing today. I'm proud of you for having the courage and putting her own needs above your own.

It's one of the suckiest things about owning pets in that their lives are so short. But that's what makes them all that more special.
