Terrified: that place so overhwhelming, so full of fear that my body shakes, my heart pounds, time twists upon itself, I cannot think, I cannot breathe, nothing seems right and everything wrong, I choke on air, I can't reach out and there is nothing to reach out *to*, I am utterly certian that horrible things are happening or are about to happen, my mind shuts down as animal instincts take over...

I experience terror on a daily basis- what could be considered my panic attacks are in fact generally attacks of acute terror, which Dr.Fridley would call "emotional memories".

Example: earlier this evening I knew I was very very anxious and had been unable to get myself to do *anything* other then play on the computer all day. So I was *trying* to calm down and do some deep breathing when the neighbors car alarm went off. And *kept* going off. It sounded a lot like a siren. I don't know exactly *why*- there's no *direct* link in my past but- I was very, very triggered. I was shaking and felt like I couldn't think, couldn't breathe- someone kept saying "Please don't let them hurt me" and couldn't hear me when I tried to reassure them. The *noise* felt like it was going straight into my head- I tried covering my ears- I curled up holding my head feeling like it was about to explode, later I started yelling when I knocked over my pile of collages the second time and I hit the wall repeatedly, and would've dearly loved to be *able* to start crying.
