Back when I was involved with Toastmasters and picking fights with sixty-year-old men on a regular basis, I would frequently come home frothing at the mouth with rage and rehash the debates in vivid colour to my long-suffering mom. My 80-something year old priest is one of the most open-minded, liberal man I've ever met. He's quite wonderful, telling other older gentlemen that God doesn't care who you sleep with and stop taking the Bible so literally, it's a bunch of stories for crying out loud.

Oh, hee! The spicy curry? My husband often gets the spiciest Thai he can find. One day he called me and exclaimed "I can't feel my lips!!"

Nah, I know that there are rare and awesome exceptions... I just kept running into really loud, obnoxious 'a woman's place is in the kitchen!' types for a while there and started forming a bias. (Your priest sounds just awesome!)

Hee!! Success! *G* I lurve spicy Thai food too, but haven't managed to locate any good places around here just yet.

That prof? Awesome. Sadly more the exception than the rule, but still!! *applauds*

I had just some paprika-chili-sauce on my cheese where I bit in and thought "Oh, that's not so sp... whoa!!!" Your tongue just has to find the chili bits... yummy!

Definitely awesome! And nice to listen to as well, since he's got the neatest accent. (Born in Germany, lived and did law school in London, now practicing in Canada.)
