Writing about writers who write about writing...

I have been tentatively prodding at the NaNo-novel (which appears to have its own tag now, oh dear). You know what's important not to leave out of the line "He flipped him off without much conviction"? The word 'off'. Hee! Unintentional kung fu for the win!

I've also come to the realization that if you have a character who spent most of their formative years running around in half-collapsing tunnels underground, he just might have some respiratory problems. *ponders*

When you see this, post a line or paragraph of your own writing that has emotional resonance for you.

"The choice is and always will be yours alone. Consider the facts, weigh the risks, and decide consciously for yourself. I’m not here to bully or brainwash you into believing what I believe. But I will not allow you to look me in the eye and say 'I never knew.'"

(I was going to conclude with my usual "IT'S FRIIIDAY!" cheer, but I appear to be confused. *ahem* Don't mind me, I'll be over here...)
