Of Corporations and Conversations

TWO EXAMS DOWN! The next one isn't until the 16th, so I've got breathing room now. *breathes* I also ran into the friend-who-is-no-longer-best-friend after the exam...

Quoth I: "I've figured out the secret to law school! If you go into the exam with the expectation that you'll fail, everything turns out shiny and sunshine and wonderful!" *ahem* Post-exam giddiness. Like drugs, only with more hand cramping.

Quoth he: "Well, you still might fail."

*hands of 'I Give Up'*

Oh ho ho, but the walking home conversation was even better! I was madly rambling about how awesome the Family Law course had been and how I could see myself going into that.

Says he: "If you really wanted to make some money, you should special in gay divorces. Those people don't understand the concept of commitment." (He managed a tone in which you could hear the capitals on Those People.)

Says I: "Unlike the 50% divorce rate on straight marriage?"

"If it's 50% for them, it's around 90% for gays," he says.

"You," says the Megan, walloping him with her notes a bit harder than necessary, "are so full of crap."

At which point he told me to stop trying to change his world view. I informed him that "Change Pietr's World View" was actually my overriding goal for this degree, so he should probably just get used to it. :-D
