Because it's Monday and it's been snowing heavily all day and the textbook chapter on extreme intoxication is not nearly as fun as the name would imply, I'm in the mood for more yammering about Torchwood. *g*
So tell me this: What's your personal canon for what happened to the team during the Year That Never Was?
Bearing in mind that I'm not always up to speed on some of the quasi-canon sources, I kinda think they all died. Horribly.* After one hell of a chase, and on camera in front of Jack if the Master could arrange it.
For that to jive with Jack's little speech about 'thinking about coming home to them', of course, he'd have to know that they'd be okay again after the paradox was reversed... (Ah, Whoverse. You never fail to make my brain spin.)
I'm a little bit surprised that there's not more fic with regard to what they did in the paradox-time. Probably a sign of hidden masochistic tendencies, but I really wouldn't mind reading some big post-apocalyptic epic by a writer more talented than I about how it all went down. (In a perfect world, I would somehow convince Margaret Atwood to do it... Hee!! I fear my sleep deprivation may be showing.)
* Well, no. I think the first of them to get caught... and my mind can't quite bear to figure out the order... was killed horribly, and after that they made damn sure they had some method of offing themselves first if they were captured.
