There's a dystopian future series called Gone by Michael Grant. I like it because it's a teen series, but still manages to be nitty-gritty and deal with that topic. I can't remember if you're a Supernatural fan, too. I know we became friends on the Suits friending meme, but we might share that fandom, idk. My friend recently recommended a series called The Demon's Lexicon to me that's a bit like Supernatural, with two brothers who hunt monsters, but where Supernatural is angstangstangstangst, TDL is apparently lighter, according to my friend. I need to pick it up myself.

And I know it now seems like I only read teen series, despite what I said. I just haven't had time to read much, lol. A non-young-adult series I read recently and loved was The Forever King by Molly Cochran. I am a HUGE King Arthur buff, you see, and this is about King Arthur being reincarnated in the modern world, but that's more a subplot. The main is that a dark sorcerer who's existed since the dawn of time wants the holy grail, which immortalizes men. It's very, very cool, even beyond an interest in Arthurian legends.

As for Pratchett, another friend ADORES Pratchett's Discworld series. That's what he's most known for, I think. He co-wrote Good Omens with Neil Gaiman and I like Gaiman's American Gods. The Graveyard Book, for children, is also very sweet. Sometimes, reading children's books is just fun and upbeat. My favorite is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

*looks up* This is really tl;dr... That's what happens when I talk about books and I'm really sorry. I hope you'll enjoy these, though. ^__^;
