If a helicopter leaves a freighter flying at...

Lost conundrum:

The helicopter (with the Oceanic 6, Frank, and Desmond) leave the freighter just before it explodes. Jin, presumably, leaves when it explodes--possibly also flying. The helicopter is somewhere between the freighter and the island when the island blips out. The helicopter is outside the blip radius, but Jin, somehow is inside the radius. Considering that the helicopter had been flying for several minutes, that would mean that even at a modest speed it would have traveled a few miles. How did Jin manage to pass the helicopter?

Love will make you do crazy things...like try to disarm a bomb so your wife can safely land. It does not, however, make you survive several hundred pounds of C4 exploding, fly through the air for a mile or two, and then somehow find the bit of wreckage that goes 50 knots.

My theory: Jin died. However, Widmore had the foresight to create an evil robotic Jin that the freighter crew dumped in the ocean well ahead of time. RoboJin was clever enough to use reverse psychology on Locke and then Ben to convince Sun to return to the island, and because of this, (with the help of the smoke monster) the AntiLocke breaks Ben and convinces him to deJacob the island. To replace the Jacob-shaped hole, Widmore Laboratories created a CloneJacob that will be sent to the island and will help Widmore return. CloneJacob has been created to obey Widmore and he also has a special organ that produces expensive scotch that Desmond can't have.

Now here's where it gets strange. The deadLocke that Ben killed (and was dumped out of the cargo container in Plinthville) was a prototype CloneLocke (with two kidneys). The real John "Sodding Old Man" Locke went to a certain walkabout tours company in Australia where he is currently saying "yo, Crocodile Dundee, don't tell me what I can't do." Waaaaalt had a residual connection with the island and was tossed around in time for a while. He ended up in the 1930's and when he was 18, went to West Point. he was a officer during World War II and then went on to become the General in charge of the US Atomic Weapons program. He found the island and sent his men there to test a hydrogen bomb because he knew that if the island didn't exist then the TV series would never have been made and his mother would still be alive and he would be happy in Australia.
