(no subject)
I've been in Arizona for about a month, give or take a few days. I finally got a job, working at Rampage. It's actually quite enjoyable. I didn't realize how mind numbing working at Toys R Us was...
For the obvious reasons of course...
I wasn't selling a product that I was actually a consumer of, because of my age.
It was extremely difficult to attempt to sell products I had no experience with, such as diapers or baby clothes. Working in a store I actually buy clothes from in really easy.
And it's more motivating to help people find what they're looking for and make my individual sales for the day or the week.
Plus, I LOVE the employee discount.
Shhh... don't tell. I've been buying stuff at work... :)
I'm looking for a second job because it's still the slow season for retail, and I'm only working Rampage part time. Living with Tifanie and Brian has worked out alright, although there has been some obstacles. For instance, their disgusting cats. Their disgusting living habits (they are just dirty people). Parking is a problem. (We only have two spots, and Lonnie works the latest so he's the one who always has to park miles away and walk home at 2 in the a.m. Not to mention the normal issues one has with roommates... buying bread, toilet paper, LEAVING CLOTHES IN THE WASHER AND/OR DRYER and TAKING OUT THE TRASH.
Lonnie has two jobs out here, Denny's and Hollywood Video. He works @ Denny's full time, and Hollywood the two days he has off from Denny's, mostly for the free rentals and discounts on XBox games. Tonight he brought me home PlayBoy: The Mansion for XBox. He loves me.
We're watching Alien v. Predator right now, and it's actually not half as bad as I thought it was going to be, so I'm going to go and cuddle with my baby, since it's technically our anniversary right now (the 11th) and go to sleep.
