Why does the local/evening news exist? Do we really need to know, on a daily basis, who got killed/shot/raped/mugged/hanged/run over/gang-banged/blown up? Do we really need to know the "murder rate"? How about substitute that for "how many people were born" rate? Why is everything, as reported by the media, have to have a negative feel to it? Is ( Read more... )

I agree. People just have a sick fascination with everything that's bad, I think..especially our local news stations. It's just repetitive and boring.

Have you ever seen "Bowling For Columbine"? I'm not a big Michael Moore fan, but there's a segment of that movie that really hit home about the negativity in news, and how it is used to make people afraid of each other. How else do you keep people under control in a "free" society?

What the fuck news channel are YOU watching where they cover gang-bangs?!
