Glee Review/Rant - 3.03 Asian F
First, I'm glad that Mike got a story line. And I like his song. He sounds good. More Mike singing please!
Upset that we've skipped the Quinn storyline this week. I love Diana Agron but can't seem to like Quinn. And I really dislike her character most of the time - first for hiding the whole "Puck's actually the father" thing and now the whole "trying to get custody of Beth" thing. (I'm not incredibly well versed in adoption stuff, but that isn't how it works.) And the preview for the next episode has me liking Quinn that much less. Are we supposed to be sympathetic to her? I don't get it. On the upside, I love Puck more and more. (I love love Mark Salling so this is a PLUS!) I love how the character gets to grow in small spurts. I wish they'd get rid of the mohawk, but I'm liking the character.
I'm disappointed in what's going on with Mercedes and Rachel. I HATE MERCEDES BOYFRIEND. He hasn't even been around very much and I just don't like him. And I wanna know if the writer's are watching the same show as I am. Yes, Rachel does seem to get a lot of solos (especially from a fan stand point, but she gets a lot of those "dream" songs, too) but she has to fight a lot for them. Will doesn't hand them to her. The one time I can remember him trying to, Kurt spoke up. There are two seasons to look back on so maybe I'm wrong, but I don't feel like Rachel gets a lot of love. Which is why it astounds me that she would think to run for President. What the Hell is with that? When she want into the locker room I thought Rachel was going to tell Bieste a terrible lie about Mercedes. And speaking of Mercedes, if we do another "baby" storyline I might puke. Or cry. Or both. Please, please don't do that. I know there are a few explanations for what was going on, but please don't let it be a baby? OkayThanksABunch!
Will is not one of my favorite characters but good for him for standing up to Emma's parents. And good for the writers for letting both characters grow a little bit.
