went to Beat Society with M, Pam, and Ten yessurday. never been to a show like that. hella cool. made me wanna rhyme and bob my head and get a gangsta lean on. M's NC "just friend" rocked the set. dropped some hot lines and got the crowd pretty hyped. kardinal offishal came up onstage for an impromptu performance as well. that was super cool. Toronto fans are a little whack though. Most hip hop heads seemed to be in the posture of quiet contemplation (AKA "I can prolly do that... y'know, if I had the time and all"). Until Kardi showed up on stage, of course. then everyone got hype cuz he's famous and ppl love jumping on band wagons here... ask every sports team in the city.
went to L1 after. delicious as always. tom, paolo, chris, eddy, wil and cyn showed up there after there night out as well. also saw craig there. and i'm pretty sure i saw sue, but i wasn't sure cuz she was wearing enough makeup to officially call it a "disguise."
got into a couple of arguments with my brother yesterday. we're butting heads these days quite a bit. i think i get it though. i think he's trying to grow into his independance but doesn't have the means to sustain it. which translates to him needing help to get to where he wants to be. dunno quite how to help a person be independant (seems kinda counter-productive, doesn't it?), but i'm sure we'll figure it out.
megan and i are awesome. it's still super early, but it's already such a conscious relationship. for the zillionth time in my life i found exactly what i was looking for. the best part is, it feels healthy. it's intense and crazy and fun and stuff, but all of that seems -- somehow -- under control. i just need to cut down the up-all-night-get-home-in-the-morning stuff... that's not healthy. it's also unproductive with regards to the rest of my life. but... there'll be time for that after the honeymoon. =P
