Wiiiii! Plus a new Muse!
Woot! It's one of my most expensive purchases of my life, I've finally bought myself a Nintendo Wii! And now I hurt my arms for playing Wii Sports without proper stretching XD
Also, I'd like to introduce a new Muse into the team, my gaming Muse Raiche.
Name: Raiche
Sex: Male
Age: 20-ish
Physical characteristics:
Height: 6' 3" (approx. 190cm) - A wee bit higher than Archie
Hair: Jet black, short, combed tidily
Eyes: Black
Skin: Fair
Relationships:
Amethyst - Hopes he can help the Master in areas where the Archmuse has no experience in (Ames' exact sentiment on all the other Muses too, actually)
Archie - Looks alike enough to be brothers, treats him that way too
Aria - Glad to have another guy in the house...for various reasons, not all of them child-friendly
Cassie - Glad to have someone else to hold serious conversations other than Ames
Ko - Adores him like he's her brother-in-law
Li Xia - Meow. Purr...
The observant would definitely have noticed that Raiche is an anagram of Archie. I initially created him to help me in a story about a space transport captain (something that the others have little to no experience with) and he deftly handled it, even directed me to the possible romantic outcome of the story. A few days later, he commented on my several unfinished game programs, giving me some new insights about all of them. But it wasn't until I bought that Wii that I've realized his awesome gaming skills.
I had a non-corporeal gaming Muse a long time ago, who helped me through puzzles, battles, and the many different storylines of all and any games I played. But Raiche goes more than that. He quickly grasps what a character can do in any game, and can concoct multiple strategies to do one objective using said character's abilities. Did I mention he does this quickly?
However, it wasn't until this morning, that I realized that Raiche is more than that. I woke up at 5.10am by my alarm, and was immediately bombarded with story ideas. It's enough to make me fall asleep again and experience the ideas in a dream. It was a magnificent dream...until I was rudely awakened at 5.30am, making me forget what it was about. But the magnificence remained with me. It was a wonderful idea and I'm sure I'll write it...when I remember what it was. It incorporates romance, mystery, technology, even political tension and repercussions of interplanetary war. And it was signed by Raiche. Amethyst confirmed it, and with the absence of Zephyr, I'll have to take his word for it. This is when I realized that Raiche is Archmuse material.
However, it has been an established fact that I couldn't, shouldn't, and wouldn't have two Archmuses of the same gender. Besides, Raiche just got into the team, and Archmuses have incredible leeway into my daily decisions. Should I appoint Raiche into Archmuse status, I'll have to take Ames down, giving a very new guy very full control. It's a scary proposition, and Raiche himself doesn't seem to actually care about having power.
Oh, well, I'll just have to see how it'll pan out over a few weeks time. Oh, and did I mention I bought a Wii? XD
