twitter is in a rare fine rage

My irritation with twitter has reached a new high. A few days ago, Adobe Air offered an update which I did. Usually, it's not a problem. But this time the update made tweetdeck essentially inoperable I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything a couple of times to no avail ( Read more... )

I didn't get that impression at all. More expressing frustration over something that wasn't broken being fixed in a way that messed it up. Not all updates and upgrades are good things.

Actually, I like a "front page" called Netvibes, to which you can add a Twitter widget - that's what I use on the Web. You can DM and it puts everything in one stream.

Are you on Leopard? I'm on Snow Leopard and can get to the App Store, no problem - you don't have to go to Lion.

I really detest Adobe...

One stream? Now, that would be handy and wouldn't take up so much room on the desktop.

I'm on Leopard right now. According to the Apple web site, I need to buy both. I'm so glad that's not true. I think it's rather shitty of Apple to do things this way. I understand having to update a bit, but not two steps.

Thanks so much for you help.

Yes!!!

I'm glad you said that. Here's a conversation my best friend and I overheard while in the car with my kids. The kids were about 6 and 5 at the time, so this is ancient history.

The setup: The kids are in the back seat, playing with a Tarzan doll they got in a McDonald's Happy Meal. My friend and I are yakking in the front seat, but we fortunately shut our yaps long enough to hear this:

Storydaughter: This is Tarzan (said in a deep, Tarzan-y voice).
Storyson: He looks like Jesus.
Storydaughter: I know! Put him on a cross!
Storyson: No, burn him!

I honestly have no idea why this conversation came about. My friend and I laughed so damn hard we nearly had accidents. She brings it up every now and then, especially when people tell her how sweet my kids are.

Gawd. Kids.
