Just as I was
running down a dead-end corridor, I was startled by
the arrival of both Lothars. Lothar #2's inexplicable appearance was followed by his inexplicable disappearance, leaving Lothar and I trapped.
Up to this point, I'd been running on a combination of the Vulcan equivalents of adrenaline and nervous energy -- when Lothar greeted me, I collapsed to the floor, no longer able to move my legs. He proceeded to lift me and, saying "Right now we have to go catch an elevator," started to walk back the way I'd come.
Red alert claxons were blaring -- obviously Janeway
had woken up and raised the alarm against me. Since her guards had been unable to find and stop me, she'd evidently decided to switch to Plan B. Titanium steel doors were dropping all around us, sealing off the corridors in all directions.
Whereas titanium steel barricades would have stopped me, apparently Lothar is harder to inconvenience. He walked right through them -- and several walls -- on the way to the elevators, leaving Lothar-and-Storvik shaped holes in his wake. I tried to observe how he did it, but was unable -- all that I could tell was that the walls appeared to be falling apart just before Lothar actually came into contact with them.
Obviously, I was going to have a lot of questions for Lothar if we got out of here intact.
