adoption in the spotlight
Harry Potter: Harry Potter, clearly the "orphan of the decade," was celebrated by my friends' family. They were featured in a local newspaper, The Grand Rapids Press, because they had Gryffindor Quiddich t-shirts made for their family, including an Arizona contingency. Then, they spent most of the weekend taking turns reading #7 aloud to each other. The t-shirts are white with red ringer details. Too bad there's no picture.
in other orphan news: I thought you'd be interested in this link to a week-long series about adoption in America. Today a video of a birth mother reunion with 2 Indian girls has been posted. Yesterday focused mainly on Trans-racial adoption. Tomorrow a Korean adoptee will be interviewed:
