December 21, Wednesday: Trattoria Italiano, 7:17 pm
After that night when Arashi placed her curse on Kanako, she carefully observed her waiting for any sign of misfortune. However the school term had ended without any harm to the tramp. That was fine in Arashi's book she was just sure things would come down on her twice as hard. As Christmas approached the activity at the shrine kept her mind busy and she quickly stopped thinking of Kanako.
Tonight was the first in awhile where Arashi was able to get away from the shrine and enjoy her day. She shopped some, walked through some public parks, and was now going to dinner. The big surprise was her brother Kiyoshi was tagging along. Him coming along meant that he was paying and she could go all out. It was very rare but she decided on some foreign food, a little Italian sounded great. Now they sat at a nice table enjoying their meal.
"You shouldn't get used to this," Kiyoshi said moodily. "In a short while you will be off and married and will have no time for your brother." Arashi put her fork down and smiled.
"And someday you my dear brother will be finally out of the closet about that cute crush you have on your class mate the one with the glasses." Kiyoshi's expression remained not amused as he continued eating but with a causal remark slipped in.
"At least he can cook unlike you." Arashi could barely hold her laughter and went back to her food. This was why she loved her brother so much.
