Some Things

Jun 04, 2009 13:10

I have decided I'm going to start using my LJ on a semi-regular basis again, even though I really prefer my other blog...but it just feels like I still can't be 100% honest there. My sisters, my grandparents, my parents - they all have the link to my other blog. They all can so easily get pissed off at the stuff I write, and I honestly need to write about some things that I haven't because...truth be told, I'm scared of their reactions. I'm scared of hurting them. I'm not a spiteful person, and although they sometimes do things to hurt me, I love them all the same and wouldn't want to hurt them in any way. So ya. Here I am.

I'm going to clean up this space a little bit. Not the layout or anything, I love the layout...Kim did an awesome job with that...but with everything else I guess. Not today though, today I've gotta post the thousands of updates that I have to share. Hopefully the bullet button works.
  • I gave birth to our son, Nolan, at 8:39pm on April 23rd - via c-section. He was breech so they decided to get him out, even though he was three weeks early. He was born with fluid on the lungs and had to spend a little over a week in the hospital working out the fluid on CPAP. It was hard...seeing him in an incubator with tubes everywhere, but we were luckier than some of the families in NICU.
  • The birth story is actually pretty amusing...I was down in TO for a routine appointment when I went into labor. So basically, right place right time right? Heh.
  • Matt & I have picked a date for the wedding; August 7th of this year. More wedding stuff later, I have A LOT to talk about there but no time to share it all.
  • Matt's finally decided that he wants to be an Electrician, so we're trying to figure that out right now.
  • I myself want to go back to school next year if we can swing it, and if not then I'll just help Matt out - well I was gonna do that anyway but ya.
I realize that I totally fall off the face of the earth and disappear from LJ for extended amounts of time, but I think a lot of people do that...maybe cause LJ isn't taken as seriously as the other blogging communities because it's slightly harder to navagate and "make new friends" or whatever. I don't know. I'm going to try my best to not do that though, because I really need a place to vent the stuff I can't vent on my other blog and here seems right.
