So my day went from good, to worse...totally skipped bad..
So, today I working from 10am-6.30pm. Since I had orientation with my job today. Which was good because I was able to go to the store, and attempt to buy a new tv, but we will get into that later. So, the day went by quickly even though I was extremely tired.
When I got off of work I decided to deposit my payroll check. I asked the representative if my funds are there and ready to be used. He stated 'yes' so I was like hmm..let me go check out the prices of the tvs, since I can afford it at the moment. So I went to 6th Ave electronics in Commack. I found the tv that I wanted since it was on sale. I went to purchase it, and when the chick behind the counter swiped my card, it came up 'invalid'. So she never saw that come up before, plus I have never experienced an issue with my card before...sooo she calls some chick to ask her what it means. The chick says, 'oh, not a problem, it didn't go through, so just swipe it again.' So, when she did that, then it said 'declined'. Now, I know how much is in my acct, but I have enough to purchase the tv. The tv is around $800. So, I'm confused at this point, wondering why I am unable to get something I know I can afford. So I call the bank, at this point I was thinking that the kid did not process my check correctly because I deposited my check today. So when I check with the bank, pretty much they took the money out of my acct, and now my acct has a hold on it, bc when she swiped it the 2nd time, it came up as fraudulent activity and placed the hold on my acct. So now over $800 of my money, is being withheld from me. So the rep from the bank I spoke to states that if the store faxes over the information, they will place the money back in the acct. So..I called mu bank awhile ago, they have 24hr customer service over the phone, she states they have yet to receive the fax...I'm like wtf..so pretty much there is a possibiliy they faxed my info over to the wrong #. If that's the case, I'm going to need a new credit card, bc my banking info is on that paper.
I'm so angry, I wonder why shit like this happens to me, it upsets me, because it is not my fault. i just want my money back, now I have to get up early tomorrow am to go and have them fax it over again. I knew when I left the store I should have got a copy of what the guy was faxing and where, now I have to do this shit alllll over again. I could have had my new tv today..and hear I am, in loss of over $800 and no tv...
