avg grr, becket players, and speculations!

I'd been having troubles with Firefox and AVG. Basically, everytime I loaded Firefox AVG would shit a load and my cookies would be gone so I had to sign back into everything (gmail, lj and twitter load automatically, but ff.net also had trouble remembering I'd signed in the day before). Anyway, I think I've found the bug. My Resident Shield was set so that it scanned tracking cookies as well. Honestly? Cookies are txt files and far from harmful. Uncheck it I did. Crossing fingers that that solved the whole deal.

Last night's show was awesome. Basically the Becket Players is a two-parter charity gig benefiting kids. The first half is a musical. This year was something called "After the Ever After". Jasmin and Aladdin are going through a rough patch and about to divorce, so their friends Cinderella, Snow White, Eric and (drunk!)Charming try to cheer them up. It was fun. Nothing fantastic but I do love my authentic Disney characters so it was very enjoyable. Dude, imagine Red Riding Hood as this shy-but-then-totally-pwning Red with guns and camo. Even Maleficent, Hook and Cruella were there! And Jimini Cricket! Wheee! Second part of the show is the cabaret and the singers are freaking A+ :) So that was last night. Fun fun and then dessert at Cheaters with the judo people who attended the show. We are always a rowdy bunch ;) and my Nutella churros were delicious.

I promised ya'll a few days ago that I'd post a prediction/wishlist sort of thing for season 3 of Gossip Girl. So here goes:

1. Carter/Serena. Watch it happen. But trouble will come of their snooping. Serena will get arrested again (hello, mugshot, you were kind of a foretelling) and Brown will throw her the hell out. She can't stay away from NYC for too long, duh. Everyone's staying so she'll stay too.
2. Maybe her daddy's involved in discovering a different pool of talent. Hello, Fiji? IIRC it's still a haven of cheap to high-class prostitutes?
3. I seriously want a symbolic "wedding"-like White Party scene for Chuck and Blair.  "I swear I'll be faithful" vows or something much less cheesy *gags* Or, like, removing her garter. Effing yes! Possibly both in the same scene please?
4. I bet they'll use one of Leighton's songs (Good Girls Go Bad?) Possibly also Pretty Reckless (Taylor's band -- Really Fucking Love You would be neat with a Nate/Jenny storyline)
5. While we're on the Nate subject, I can't quite decide if he'll enjoy his backpaking trip in Europe or not. One the one hand, he does seem to be the open-minded type, but then again he's probably seen all of Europe before already... so it might be boring?
6. As for Nate/Vanessa... yeah, they'll have sex, mark my words. That much was pretty much obvious from Nate's not-so-subtle "selling point" of "maybe if we've had too much to drink". Can you scream obvious? I can! But then V can decide to be all judgey and forget that she actually whored herself out to Chuck *gags* and say "no we can't". Why, V?
7. We need a lesbian. I vote for V. That is all. Please find your inner nature while in France when you visit a nudist beach.
8. Apparently Boston Uni is an artsy school. So Scott (Rufus/Lily lovechild)... I'll bet he's a better novelist than Dan. (Did anybody pick up the title of what he was reading at the café, btw?) Oh, competition in writing classes while Dan's oblivious! That would be super fab since Scott can silently gloat that he's the one with all the talent! :D
9. Chuck and Blair. Well, Ed/Chuck's CW Upfront presentation seems to hint at Chuck starting to take over the reins of Bass Industries. I mean, he's obviously not going to college (maybe internet classes?) and Lily did mention that she didn't fancy ruling over the company for very long. She just likes to reap the shareholder benefits aka do nothing too straining. Sorry I don't like Lily. Anyway. Living arrangements will stay the same (i.e. Blair at the Waldorf place and Chuck with the van der Bass-Humphreys) but I foresee that there will be a lot of sleeping in each other's bedroom (potential for much of Serena's "ick eww gross"). I think Blair will also be crucial in Chuck's smooth integration in his new role with the company. She'll possibly be studying business at NYU, so they might study together or something so he can get a hang of how to handle his job?
10. Emma better be part of Jenny's following next year. And Muffy. Ooooh, and the mini-Mean Girls :)
11. Jack Bass will hopefully return next year and taunt Chuck and Blair and cause tension in their couple. Oh yeah.

Well... I think that's all I was able to think up. Any additions, guys?
