small talk
I think small talk is the only thing I can produce for Leaving Marks at this point. Last night was all about this one scene where I introduce yet another character and once again fortify the notion that Claire is a social klutz.
"Not to mention I'm a better skater now," she added on a dry mutter.
"Aw, come on," Adrian said, nudging her lightly before turning to walk backward. "You have to admit it was funny."
Claire grimaced. "More like ironic," she said. And then regretted her words instantly.
"What do you mean?"
That was one great thing about Sky High. You didn't have to think fast to cover your blunders in front of strangers and acquaintances - you just didn't, because it didn't matter that you were "different". Everyone was. In that moment, Claire truly missed school. "Er. I mean, me and ice rinks are tight these days," she deadpanned quickly.
I'm off to write a tad more, and then I'm calling it a night.
P.S. Why, oh why won't you let yourself be written in a scene with Claire for more than two seconds, Warren? Seriously. I just gave you an opportunity to check in more often. TAKE it.
ETA: New moodtheme. Hello s1!Chuck 24/7. Although the "drained" pic should actually be "in pain" since Serena just kneed him where it counts. Oh well. I can't wait till someone does a s2!Chuck moodtheme. I'm possibly one of the only fans who actually loves his hair this year. What? Don't look at me like that. He looks fiiiine... and refined ;)
