Five Things
* I spoke to a homeless man yesterday, and he told me he walked from Las Vegas to San Diego because he had heard he could get a job. I don't know if it was true. I gave him directions to three different employment offices in the area and wished him good luck. God bless, he told me, and smiled, and it felt, indeed, like a benediction.
* moth_001 installs my oiled bronze faucet today, and makes me tea, before heading off to the couch. I feel warm, and the faucet looks lovely.
* I am running off to London, I have decided, and pinned down dates, and even ideas, and I told the boss he's going to need to find someone to cover my projects. I didn't ask. He's not looking at me, even when I'm in his office. Eff him. I'm going For Fun, and because someone offered me crash space, and because I need a frickin' vacation. Even if it is London in the winter.
* I have bitten my nails down, and since I don't often do this, I'm wondering where my subconcious is lurking, that is it so nervous.
* I had lunch with K today, a last-minute thing, and as I walked out of the restaurant, I hugged her for sheer joy, because simply seeing her felt so good.
